The Lahore High Court (LHC) allowed former federal minister Ahmed Mukhtar to go abroad from June 15 to August 2, 2007. The court passed these orders when the law officer contended before the court that the government had no objection if court allowed the petitioner to travel abroad.
The petitioner contended that had already visited abroad with the court permission. He also contended that he never betrayed the court orders and came back as per granted schedule but respondent interior ministry with mala fide intention put his name on Exit Control List (ECL). He contended that respondent accountability court also refused to allow him travel abroad.
