The Punjab government has accepted the 'Land Record Computerisation' project as a challenge, whereas the past governments have been making merely false claims in this regard. Provincial Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Khan Rokhari said this while talking to journalists here on Wednesday.
He said that Punjab Assembly had already passed the amendment bill regarding Land Revenue Act 1967 to provide legal cover to the project. He said that in the first phase of the project, land record of 18 districts would be computerised, on which Rs 3115 million would be spent.
