Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday vowed to fight against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and its leader Altaf Hussain on three fronts.
"We have sufficient proofs of the involvement of Altaf Hussain, his fellow party leaders and workers in terrorist activities, which would lead us to success", he told reporters at Islamabad International Airport upon his arrival from London.
He was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers at the airport. Imran Khan had visited Britain with the objective to file a case against the MQM chief Altaf Hussain for his involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan, including the May 12 bloodshed in Karachi, which claimed over 40 lives.
He said that Altaf Hussain was a British national and we had informed the British government about his involvement in the terrorism activities in Pakistan along with documentary evidences. "We want justice and hope to get it as we have filed cases against Altaf Hussain. We will go to the media and also approach the parliamentarians in this regard", Khan said.
He said that he desired to get it politically investigated as to how a person (Altaf) involved in terrorism in Pakistan could get British nationality. "Altaf and his party is involved in bloodshed in Karachi. They are involved in the murder of Hakim Said, renowned scholar and founder of Hamdard," he said.
To a question, he said he also met the Scotland Yard authorities along with evidence. The public, on the one hand, fighting war on terror and on the other, terrorists were staying in London, he said.
Imran said MQM was a genuine party of the muhajirs, but Altaf Hussain made it a one-man party. He said that the muhajir nationality should come in the mainstream. Khan said that Altaf and his close aides were wanted by Pakistani police in different cases of terrorism, murder and other heinous crimes and British Government should take him to task.
