A member of the Lahore Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) with the prayer to direct the respondent government to allow the private channels to broadcast live speeches of Chief Justice Pakistan.
The petitioner Tariq Aziz contended that respondent government through an ordinance had put restriction on the private channels to telecast speech or procession of Chief Justice.
He contended that the action of the respondent government to put restriction on private channels was illegal, against the fundamental rights as envisaged in the constitution and without a lawful authority.
