Evacuee agriculture land to be leased out on June 21

The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has announced to lease out agricultural land in various Tehsils of Faisalabad. Zafar Iqbal, District Administrator, ETPB, said here on Monday that agriculture land in rural areas would be auctioned on lease for a period of 3 years from Kharif 2007 to Rabi 2010.
The agriculture land in urban areas would, however, be auctioned on lease for a period of one year from Kharif 2007 to Rabi 2008. He said that other urban properties would be auctioned on the basis of monthly rent. About agriculture land, he said that landless tillers or peasants having less than 4.5 acres, or those cultivating maximum 12.5 acres land, would be eligible to participate in the bidding.
He said that total 76 properties would be auctioned in TehsilManaging Director Faisalabad Sadar, City, Chak Jhumra, Jaranwala, Summundri and Tandlianwala on June 21. Auction would be held in the office of ETPB.
