Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has appointed PFF XI's coach Akhtar Mohiuddin as Match Commissioner for the 6th National U-15 Football Championship which will get underway at Khanewal from 27th June.
According to PFF spokesman, the duty of Akhtar will be two-fold, as he would also act as Chief Selector during 11-day show in Southern Punjab. The players born on or after 1st January 1992 will be eligible to play in coming U-15 event. It may be mentioned that Akhtar was a part of the coaches' panel when Pakistan defeated India in the inaugural Indo-Pak football series two years ago.
Moreover, Peshawar's former FIFA Referee Salahuddin Awan will act as Referee Assessor while famous Referees of Pakistan Premiership Rana Naseer Ahmed (Faisalabad), Rauf Bari (Punjab Police), Shams Pervez (Lahore), Shahid Rasheed (Arifwala) will be among the 12-Referees Panel.
OTHER REFEREES CALLED FOR THE EVENT ARE: Nisar Ahmed (Balochistan), Zahid Ali (Army), Zahid Ullah (NWFP), Imran Hussain (Sindh), Shahid Ali, Mehr Mukhtar (Okara), Abdul Hameed (Khanewal) and Muhammad Zahid (Multan).
Meanwhile, PFF has approved suspension of two players of Quaid-i-Azam Football Club's Ghulam Rasool and Shahzad for six months. Both the players used abusive language against the event's officials and referees in a match played against Huma Football Club on 14th June at Pakistan Sports Board Ground.
