The Minister of State for Sports and Culture of Sudan Abd-Algadir Muhammad Zain has said that Sudan and Pakistan are enjoying highly cordial relations since long and with the passage of time these relations would be further cemented.

The Minister underscored the need of expanding two-way trade activities with Pakistan as were in the 1960 for bringing a big boom in the bilateral trade between the two countries.
There are bright opportunities for the Pakistani business community especially the exporters engaged with sports goods, he revealed. He called upon the business community of Sialkot that they should visit Sudan and explore its market and ascertain the possibilities of business. The Minister further stated that necessary steps were being taken for widen the trade opportunities between Sudan and Pakistan and business communities of both the brotherly countries could play an instrumental role in this regard.
He pointed out that different Pakistani products were being sold in Sudan markets adding that collective efforts were direly needed for enlarging the trade volume between the two countries.
In his address of welcome President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal said that there was a great scope of joint ventures between Sialkot based companies and Sudan. He suggested that Sudanese firms should come forward and establish joint ventures and business collaboration with Sialkot based firms in the field of sports goods, surgical instruments, leather goods and information technology.
The steps like exchange of trade delegations, increase participation in trade fairs and exhibitions in both countries including single country exhibition and regular exchange of information on foreign trade regime and other publications through the respective trade offices and other relevant organisations would help promote and enhance the trading opportunities between the two countries and achieve the diversification of traditional to non-traditional trade Waheed Sandal said.
President SCCI was of the opinion that this goodwill visit of Sudanese Minister would be supportive in developing better understanding among the business communities of both the countries.
