Thousands of Multanites spent whole night on roads, in camps of political parties, and NGOs. They took breakfast on Sunday in the camps but they were not tired or fatigued and they were fresh. Some young lawyers posed themselves in a cage called "Dictator's prison" and they moved in a truck with handcuffs whole day.
People shouted slogans in favour of lawyers and "Go-Musharraf Go, wear-off uniform, everyone wants independence of judiciary." President of District Bar Vehari Rao Sajid Ali and Dera Ghazi Khan's lawyer Malik Javed were in chains when they reached here. 13 lawyers including a woman reached on foot in Multan from Bahawalpur which is at the distance of 100 km.
Similarly four lawyers from Dera Ghazi Khan (100 km distance), 40 lawyers from Muzaffargarh (35 km distance) reached Multan to join the reception of Chief Justice of Pakistan. A parody song was common, "Aj wardee Laha Sadi Farmaish Tay," (Wearoff uniform today on our desire). National anthems, parody songs, local songs and full throated slogans were the common features everywhere in Multan.
Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan organised a torchbearers rally from district courts to Chowk Ghanta Ghar, MMA organised a motorcycle rally while female lawyers lit the candles to express solidarity with Chief Justice of Pakistan. In Khanewal, police uprooted the reception camps of political parties and removed the banners and posters in Mian Chunnu while transporters were forced not to supply vehicles to political parties in Muzaffargarh. A constable of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Raja Muhammad Fayyaz announced to resign from his job as protest against making the Chief Justice of Pakistan non-functional.
