A high-powered Pakistani trade delegation will visit Mozambique this year to assertion possibilities of increasing two-way trade and investment, said Honorary Consul General of Mozambique Khalid Tawab.
Taking to newsmen at the 32nd national day function of Mozambique here on Monday night, he said that his efforts were to promote bilateral trade relations and create better environment, aimed at boosting two-way trade.
Referring to an earlier visit of a trade delegation, Khalid Tawab said Mozambique offered lucrative incentives to Pakistani investors, including free of cost land to establish their business houses.
He was of the view that Pakistani exporters, taking advantage of Mozambique's geographical location, could use the country as a base for exporting their products to other countries in the region, especially the neighbouring countries.
Khalid Tawab said that Pakistan and Mozambique would be opening their embassies in each other's country by the end of this year. Replying to a question, he said that Mozambique was basically a consumer market and imported all sorts of goods from needle to ships. As such, Pakistani exporters had bright chances to boost their exports of textile products, plastic goods, pharmaceuticals, rice, engineering goods etc.
