For the development and economic stability of any nation education plays vital role. It requires support and determination not only by public sector but also from private sector. In fact if we scan the globe we find private sector has contributed more towards the achievement of national goals than the public sectors.
The present government has realised that it on its own can not achieve the inspiration of bringing our nation on the road to success. Private sector has a very pivotal role to play meeting these challenges of globalisation. Educating and training our youths with the skills and tools require for competing in the international arena is one of the most important challenges faced by our nation. It requires current knowledge, facilities, qualified and experienced trainers to give the blend of academics and practical exposure to our youth.
Among some of the best institutes and universities in the field of Business Administration & Management Sciences KHADIM ALI SHAH BUKHARI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (KASBIT) is a higher education institution in the private sector established in October 1999 to cater the need of those students who desire quality education in the area of Business Administration, Management Sciences and Information Technology. KASBIT is a part of the KASB group of companies, which is one of the oldest and leading business groups in Pakistan. KASB group includes KASB Bank, KASB Securities, KASB Technology, KASB Developers, KASB Funds, NOVA Technology and KASB Foundation.
KASBIT is a member of ISO 9001, The Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). Its campus is situated off Sharah-e-Faisal Road in Karachi and is easily accessible by all kinds of transport from every part of the city. The campus has a purpose built structure of approximately 28,000 sq. ft covered area and is well furnished, air conditioned and maintained with provision for all necessary facilities.
To achieve its mission, KASBIT got affiliated with National University of Science and Technology and within a short period, it managed not only to obtain HEC recognition and Charter by the Government of Sindh as a degree awarding Institute, but also a reputation for deliverance of high quality education.
Mission statement: KASBIT exists to help students realise their educational goals. The Institute's first priority is to promote the welfare and intellectual progress of students so that they can assume leadership roles in their future professions.
To fulfil the mission, programs and activities are designed to help students develop the academic competencies, professional skills, critical and creative abilities. Through a dedicated team of foreign qualified faculty demonstrate excellence in teaching. It honours and reward high performance in learning, teaching, scholarship, research, service, and creative activity. As the quality of our academic programs is central to our mission, we encourage intellectual curiosity and protect the multiple expressions of academic freedom.
KASBIT offers admission into under-graduate, graduate and post graduate degree programs in the disciplines of Business Administration and Information Systems. Presently following degree programs are being offered.

KASBIT has spacious classes and lecture rooms, which can accommodate students in a comfortable study environment. All classes and lecture rooms are air-conditioned and furnished with designer tabular chairs for additional comfort of the students. The classes and lecture rooms are provided with the latest teaching aids such as multimedia, overhead projectors (OHP), audio and video system etc.
KASBIT Resource & Information Center (R & I) is one of the best and most modern environments for the students and faculty. The R & I center has textbooks, reference material, and journals and periodicals sections. The library has special collections of books on materials relating to management sciences and information systems.
KASBIT has its own web site, which is updated regularly. Information about the Institute is available and can be downloaded from the www.kasbit.edu.pk.
KASBIT has one of the most modern and "state of the art" computing laboratory and instructional aids and services. It has 2 computer laboratories equipped with Pentium IV workstation for students and has plans to increase it to 5 subsequently.
In addition software development house has capacity and facilities being provided to design and develop software for purpose of training and meeting market demand. Various operating systems and software available consist of all popular operating systems used in commerce and industry such as, windows NT, windows 2000, LINIX, SUN OS, Flash, SQL SERVER 2000, Oracle 9i.
The management of the KASBIT has set the highest standards for the professional development of faculty and staff. The management assesses their performance so that every area of the Institute's life will be continually improved and renewed. It recognises and rewards their efforts of greatest distinction and provides national leadership.
KASBIT seeks to provide an environment conducive to innovation, experimentation, and creativity. It encourages all members of the faculty and staff to take intellectual and creative exposure and to embrace changes that will enhance the fulfilment of the Institute's mission.
KASBIT has on its regular faculty list - 4 PhD Professors (3 foreign qualified), 2 Associate professors with more than 30 years teaching experience at their credit, 4 Assistant Professors and 25 lecturers having M. Phil, MBA, M.Com, MPA, LLB, LLM, MA, ACIS, AICS, ACMA, CA, APA qualifications from reputed universities and institutes.
Academic advising/counselling are an essential element of the educational process. It is mandatory for the advisor to arrange a meeting with the students at least once a semester. Students are responsible for adhering to Institute's policies and procedures.
Senior faculty, staff and students representatives keep close vigilance for maintaining discipline. Any violation is dealt with the policy specifically designed for the purpose, which is in line with current needs and cultural requirements of our nation. The Institute expects the students, as mature members of the academic community, will adhere to the highest standards of personal and academic integrity.
KASBIT has established linkages between academic and industry to encourage formation of innovative business incubator programs, promote knowledge based enterprise development, create better jobs and boost economic growth. In this context, students get jobs and their destinations even before their final examination results.
KASBIT has produced about 200 business and information technology graduates till to date and they are rendering their dynamic services to different organisations in Pakistan and abroad. Our students are contributing in the development of corporate sector through their innovative and creative skills.
