The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH), to encourage the public, private and corporate sectors of Pakistan, has instituted the Environment Excellence Awards for such organisations whose performance in pollution control and environment up-gradation is significant.
According to the decision of a panel of judges, duly ratified by the NFEH governing body, the following companies have been selected for this award, a press release said here on Friday.
AES Lal Pir, Attock Refinery, BGP (Pakistan) International, English Biscuit Manufacturers, Engro Asahi Polymer & Chemicals, Engro Chemical Pakistan, Engro Vopak Terminal, Habib Oil Mills, Indus Motor Company, Kohinoor Energy, KSB Pumps Company, National Refinery, Nestle Pakistan Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company, Pak-Arab Refinery, Pakistan Oilfields, Pakistan PTA, Pakistan Refinery, Pakistan State Oil Company, PharmEvo, Shell Pakistan, Siemens Pakistan Engineering Company, Sui Southern Gas Company, Thal Engineering, Tourism Services and W.M.C.
Federal Minister for Environment Faisal Saleh Hayat will be the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony. On this occasion, a conference on Environment for Development will also be held. Environment experts and officials from the Ministry of Environment would deliver presentations about their organisations.
The conference and award distribution ceremony is supported by the Ministry of Environment, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries and United Nations Environment Programme.-PR
