The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) in a petition filed by a member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) challenging action of Pemra banning the live coverage of the processions of Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
The respondent Pemra had earlier submitted its reply in the petition but the petitioner M.D. Tahir prayed to the court to issue stay order till disposal of his main petition. The court issued notices to the respondent Pemra before proceeding further or issuing stay order and rose for the day.
