Millat Tractors Limited set a new record of highest ever production by 27,000 tractors in the year ending 30th June, 20Q7, improving upon its production of 24,238.
To celebrate this occasion, the keys of the 27,000th tractor were handed over to a farmer by Mr Sikander Mustafa Khan, Chairman, Millat Group of Companies and Mr Sohail Bashir Rana, CEO, MTL in a simple ceremony held in the company's premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sikandar said that it was an outcome of the company's commitment to support the government for its program to enhance farm productivity and accelerate the pace of farm mechanisation in the country.
He further informed that the company is fully geared up to produce more than 30,000 tractors during the FY2007-2008. He added that the increased production has created additional job opportunities thus contributing its due role in national economy with full responsibility.
He briefed that Millat produced Massey Ferguson tractors are fully supported by the company through its countrywide dealers' network equipped with skilled manpower, adequate availability of spare parts and repair facilities.
