JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company Limited has upgraded the long term entity rating of SME Leasing Limited (SLL) from "BBB+' (Triple B Plus) to 'A-(Single A Minus) with 'Stable' outlook. Short-term ratings have been maintained at 'A-2' (A-Two).
SLL operates solely in the SME sector and was previously a wholly owned subsidiary SME Bank Limited (SBL). In FY06 the company's capital was enhanced through an Initial public offering, however majority shares are still held by SBL. JCR-VIS has taken into account steady growth exhibited by SLL over the years and future plans for growth and diversification. -PR
