Pakistani expatriates living in Saudi Arabai have supported the Pakistan government stand on the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa issue and in the messages sent to various federal ministries and the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah.
Expatriates urged that strict action be taken by the government of Pakistan against the 'miscreants' in the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa and no one who has indulged in criminal activities at the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa should be punished.
Several Pakistanis in Jeddah called at the Consulate General in Jeddah and many in Riyadh called on the Pakistan Embassy urging immediate action to end the 'insurgency' at Jamia Hafsa and Lal Masjid.
Pakistani expatriates from United Kingdom have also called Federal Minister of State Tariq Azeem Khan to express their support for the government stand on the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa issue.
Similarly, Pakistanis resident in the USA have supported the government of Pakistan for taking strong and final and conclusive action against the militants in Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.
UPP Special correspondent in Seattle Nadia Kamal said in her communication that all the overseas Pakistanis professional organisations in the USA, specially on the Pacific Coast, are keen that the government should eliminate all the terrorists holed up in Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa and government writ would be firmly established in both the places. She said that Pakistanis living in the USA want a final and firm end of the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa issue.
