The District Co-ordination Officer Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri has directed the concerned officers of Pakistan Railways to issue NOC for the construction of Latifabad fly over scheme at Railway Crossing Latifabad No 7 with immediate effect, to enable the executing agency to complete the project within stipulated period.
This he directed while presiding over a meeting to discuss the matters relating to other departments in implementation of the fly over scheme at his camp office here on Saturday.
The Taluka Nazim Latifabad Engineer Sabir Hussain, Project Director HDP Syed Sarfraz Shah and the officers from Hyderabad Cantonment Board, Pakistan Railway, Hesco, SSGC, PTCL, TMA Latifabad and Wasa HDA attended and briefed the meeting about assignments entrusted to them for removal of their infrastructure coming in alignment of fly over scheme.
The DCO addressing the meeting surprised that the NOC from Pakistan Railway was awaited still yet, when the construction work of the fly over scheme at railway crossing Latifabad No 7 was at full swing at its tendering cost of Rs 450 million.
However, he said that the delay in issuing of NOC from Pakistan Railway was creating technical problems for the executing agencies and directed the Divisional Engineer Pakistan Railway Muhammad Shafique who was present in the meeting to convey message of this meeting to the officers concerned of his organisation for issuance of NOC without further delay.
The DCO informed the meeting that almost all the lines of PTCL and SSGC, 70 percent lines of Hesco and infrastructure of Cantonment Board which was coming in the alignment of fly over scheme, have been shifted, while shifting work of Wasa lines was at the advance stage of completion. The DCO asked the TMA Latifabad to shift all the polls and remove billboards coming in the way of fly over within a week time.
The DCO said that district Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil was taking keen interest in early completion of this project with qualitative work and directed the consultants and contractors to further speed up the on-going work of the project and get it completed by the end of this year.
The Project Director Hyderabad Development Package (HDP) Syed Sarfraz Shah except Pakistan Railway appreciated the co-operation of all the stakeholder organisations in implementation of fly over scheme.
He informed that on the request of the Cantonment Board, an additional ramp from Aalamgir road to Auto Bhan road was also being incorporated in the fly over scheme as such the Wasa has been asked to shift an additional length of 24" dia pipe on Auto Bhan road. He expressed his satisfaction over the pace of development work and added that smooth execution of the development work would be continued to get the project completed before the end of this calendar year.
