Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Malik Saifullah Tiwana and district nazim Khushab, Malik Ghulam Muhammad Tiwana said stubbornness and inflexible attitude of management of Lal Masjid had harmed the image of Islam and Pakistan at international level.
The Lal Masjid management also provided an opportunity to anti Islam forces to launch propaganda against Islam, they observed. In a joint statements, they said that the government on this sensitive issue showed great patience and restrain but Abdur Rashid Ghazi and other militants inside the Lal Masjid put the lives of innocent children and women at risk by offering unnecessary and unacceptable demands.
They said the steps, being taken by the government for elimination of terrorists from the country, were getting appreciation from all over the world.
Tiwana appealed to Abdur Rashid Ghazi to immediately free students made hostage in the Lal Masjid in the national interest. They paid tributes to President General Pervez Musharaf for adopting positive attitude on this ticklish issue to save the lives of innocent children and women.
