The Lahore High Court (LHC) has allowed the former provincial minister Malik Mushtaq Awan to go abroad for his medical check-up for a month. The court also directed the government to deliver his passport to him so as to enable him to go abroad. The applicant had approached the court with prayer to allow him to go abroad for medical treatment.
The law officer appeared before the court and contended that the government has no objection if court allows him to go abroad for his medical treatment. The court, after hearing the law officer and the petitioner counsel, allowed the petitioner to go abroad. The applicant is facing a reference before an accountability court. He approached the LHC against the decision of the respondent accountability court and got relief.
