The Karachi Port handled 73,752 tonnes cargo including 52,464 tonnes import, 21,288 tonnes export cargo and 3,132 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 71,652 tonnes dry cargo including 37,773 tonnes general cargo; 10,771 tonnes fertiliser; 7,998 tonnes coal; 8,168 tonnes cement and 2,100 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Global Prince, Gallant Wave, Mol Silver Fern, Lalazar and Silver Sen sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Viking Merlin, Mol Ability, Mol Silver Fern and Chemstar Brave are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Viking Merlin, Mol Ability and Chemstar Brave expected to sail on Tuesday, while three vessels viz Amasis, Asian Queen and Haje Khereh expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Shemroad Haya, Apl Yokohama and Oel Spirit due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten ships namely New Setokaze, Oel Trust, Al Martyah, Y M Moon, Iran Hesabi, Lucky Arrow, Adriatic Arrow, Al-Abdulla, Afmia and Wima due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 116,763 tonnes comprising 101,412 tonnes import and 15,351 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,712 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 51,460 tonnes furnace oil; 10,900 tonnes edible oil; 4,879 tonnes iron ore; 8,370 tonnes canola seeds, 12,050 tonnes chemicals and 39,104 tonnes containerised cargo.
MV Centurion sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz CV Mearsk Virginia, MT Yanaseni MT Sea Lion, MT Bum Shin and MV SD Glory expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of three ships namely Nedlloyd America, MSC Lucia and Captain George-L carrying containers and iron ore are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven vessels viz CV Mearsk Virginia, MT Bum Shin, MT Sea Lion, MV SD Glory, MT Yanaseni, MT Lady Jasmine and MV Centurion are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, furnace oil, canola seeds, chemicals and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Four vessels viz CV Nedlloyd America, CV MSC Lucia, MT Samho Heron and MV Captain George-L due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz CV MSC Lugano and MT Chemstar Brave due to arrive on Tuesday, while four more ships namely CV ACX Margurite, CV Pacheco, MT Grigoroussa-1 and MT Sinar Agra are due to arrive on Wednesday.
