Singapore bunker prices were steady on Tuesday, keeping the market in discount for a second day and at weak levels for almost two months. Prices for the 380-centistoke (cst) were pegged at $371-373 a tonne, unchanged from the previous session, while the differential to fuel oil cargoes was at a discount of 45 cents, down 10 cents from Monday.
Ex-wharf players had been holding up the market. But offers were lower at around $374 a tonne, or at a premium of $1.55 to cargo values, as sellers were unable to sustain the rise in fuel oil prices, said brokers.
