Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Wednesday expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the tragic murder of Mrs Atiya Aminuddin and in a telephonic call to Mahmudul Aziz, brother of the late Atiya Aminuddin assured that the concerned investigating officers have been directed by him to vigorously pursue the case and bring the murderers to book.
He also conveyed his condolences to Amin Anjum, the son of Begum Atiya Aminuddin and asked Mahmudul Aziz to convey his condolences also to Qutubuddin Aziz, Khalidul Aziz and mother of Atiya Aminuddin Begum Khurshid Abdul Hafiz.
The governor said he was himself shocked by the tragedy. Mahumudul Aziz thanked him for the interest shown by him in the case and hoped that the murderers of his sister and her servant will be caught and brought to exemplary punishment.
Meanwhile, a press release from the Governor House said that Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, the Governor of Sindh has directed the police officers concerned to use their best abilities to catch the murderers responsible for the double murder of Atiya Aminuddin and her servant in Phase V of the Defence Housing Authority and bring them to exemplary punishment.
Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan also extended heartfelt condolences to prominent journalist Mahmudul Aziz and prominent former diplomat Qutubuddin Aziz on the brutal murder of their sister, Atiya Aminuddin and said that he shared with the relatives of Atiya Aminuddin their grief and sorrow.
Ishratul Ibad Khan assured that the government shall use all measures to bring to book the brutal murderers. Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan also prayed for the departed soul of late Atiya Aminuddin and prayed that May Allah in his mercy grant the relatives the strength to bear the loss.
