The law enforcing personnel in interior Sindh were put on alert on Tuesday and Wednesday following operation against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in Islamabad. Security had been beefed up in the Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Noushehroferoze and other areas, police sources said.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sukkur, Muhammad Bachal Sangri informed APP on Wednesday that necessary security arrangements had been undertaken and additional contingents of police were deployed at important places including offices and residences of important persons.
