The 2nd Pattan Theatre Festival will be held from July 13 to 18 at the Alhamra Arts Council. Co-ordinator Pattan Lok Natak, William John Pervaiz, told newsmen here on Wednesday that two Indian groups from New Delhi and Chandigarh would also participate in this festival besides the performers from Islamabad, Sargodha, Lahore, and Multan.
He said that Pattan Lok Natak was striving to create awareness among people on different social issues through cultural activities such as theatre, musical programs and poetry contests.
Co-ordinator Theatre Festival, Aamir Nawaz said that Pattan Lok Natak was also working to create awareness among different communities of society about their rights. He said the main aim of holding Pattan festivals was to promote theatre groups from different backgrounds.
