Meezan Bank the first and largest Islamic Bank of Pakistan has started 8 am to 8 pm banking in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad. President and CEO Meezan Bank Irfan Siddiqui said this new and exclusive banking service will allow customers extended banking hours from 8 o'clock in the morning to 8 o'clock at night now in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad selected branches initially.
He said after evaluating the customers' interest we would offer this facility across Pakistan. Initially this service has been launched in three branches of Karachi, three in Lahore and one in Faisalabad.
This adds a completely new dimension to our banking service and has been designed to enable customers to do banking at their convenience, he added. Our customers can now go to bank early morning before going to the office/work or drop by the bank in the evening on their way home and not worry about going to bank during working hours, he opined.
According to statement from 8 am till 5 pm Meezan Bank would offer full range of banking services. After 5 pm and till 8 pm customers can carry out the following transactions that meet most of their day-to-day requirements such as acceptance of cash, acceptance of cheques for collection and clearing, acceptance of transfer instruction, acceptance of cheque book, pay order and demand draft requests, locker operation (where locker facility is available), accepting ATM, telephone banking and internet banking requests.
