Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry while talking informally to a group of people which intercepted his caravan on his way to Lahore Bar at Derapindi near Park View Society here on Saturday said that Allah, Almighty is the greatest Arbiter who administers justice to all.
Over 100 people, majority of them farmers, stopped the Chief Justice of Pakistan at a reception camp and told him their sad story of depriving them of their land which was previously possessed by a provincial minister and now has been taken possession by Defence Housing Society (DHA). T
hey urged the Chief Justice to take suo motu action on returning to the active office against what they said illegal occupation of their land. The Chief Justice in his brief remarks on their grievance comforted them saying, Allah Almighty is the Greatest Arbiter and he will administer justice to them all.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan while shaking hands with the lawyers who received him thanked them while appreciating their gesture of love to him.
Ali Ahmad Kurd, former vice chairman Pakistan Bar Council on that spot furthering it said, the remarkable reception of the public to the Chief Justice was in fact adumbrative of a revolution which takes only when oppression by the rulers goes unchecked. And when this revolution occurred, all oppressions would vanish, he added.
