On behalf of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and federal cabinet, a 2-member delegation comprising Additional Secretary Cabinet Division Saeed Ahmad Khan and Joint Secretary Cabinet Committee Muhammad Zahid Khan went to the residence of Colonel Haroon-ul-Islam Shaheed and condoled with the widow here on Saturday.
Colonel Haroon-ul-Islam's brother Major Ehtisham, his cousins Adnan Bashir, Imran Bashir and his mother-in-law were present on the occasion. Major Ehtisham informed the delegation that Colonel Haroon-ul-Islam Shaheed had two daughters whom he deeply loved and had a great desire for martyrdom, which has been fulfilled by Allah Almighty.
Additional Secretary Cabinet Division Saeed Ahmad Khan informed the widow that a meeting of Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on July 10, which eulogised Colonel Haroon-ul-Islam's spirit of gallantry and sense of responsibility.
