Punjab Minister for Culture, Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Bhatti has said the people of the country fully support policies of President Pervez Musharraf and Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. People will vote for like minded candidates nominated by them and make them successful with thumping majority in the next general elections.
He expressed these views while talking to journalists in his office here on Saturday. He said due to the comprehensive policies of the government, the country had put on road to progress and the living standard of people was being enhanced. He said development of backward areas was top priority of the government.
He further said installation of filtration plants for portable water, sui gas, electricity and drainage schemes were being completed expeditiously. He said the development projects of billions of rupees including dual carriageway from Pindi Bhattian to Hafizabad and telephone exchange had also been completed.
He said sui gas was being supplied to all union councils of district Hafizabad and Punjab government is providing Rs 150 million to each union council. He said development of Hafizabad was the result of the efforts of President Pervez Musharraf and Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and it would be a role model district with regard to development.
The Provincial Minister said assemblies were completing their tenure for the first time in Pakistan and PML would win the next general elections on the basis of its performance. He said the opposition would get nothing from its baseless propaganda.
