Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) would provide financial assistance to needy students with various technical and vocational skills to help start their own businesses. In this regard, PBM would disburse Rs 20,000 each to around 3,000 male and female students who have completed technical or vocational training.
These cheques would be disbursed among the students at a function to be held here on July 19. Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education, Zobaida Jalal, Managing Director PBM, Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Sarfraz and other senior officials from PBM, Social Welfare Ministry and NOGs would attend the event.
Official told APP that PBM, under its project named "Prime Minister's Rehabilitation Program through Pakistan Bail-ul-Mal" launched in last fiscal year, would provide this financial assistance to over come unemployment and poverty in the country.
He said Bait-ul-Mal had already disbursed Rs 120 million among 7,000 students to start their own set-up to support their families. Besides, he said that they were also providing assistance to deserving students and stipends for the outstanding students for higher professional education.
