Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Waheed Arshad Qureshi has said that deployment of forces in Swat does not mean that the government wants to conduct operation against militants in the region.
According to a private TV channel, the ISPR DG said forces have been deployed on the request of the provincial government and their deployment is only for the safety purposes. Meanwhile, the militant groups have demanded that forces should go back to barracks immediately and the government must pay compensation to the families of those killed in suicide attacks.
