Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has restored almost all the telecom network damaged by recent floods in Balochistan and other areas, said a press release issued here on Tuesday. Communication to 33 out of 35 telephone exchanges affected due to rain/flood has been restored.
Only two exchanges could not be restored so far due to inaccessibility to the sites, the statement added. Both the links will be restored as soon as the sites become accessible, after recession of water.
Due to recent floods and torrential rains, telecommunication system was badly affected and PTCL had suffered a loss of Rs 25 million in the shape of revenue opportunity and restoration cost.-PR
