A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) and Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (Paapam) was signed on Wednesday for Auto-Part Support Center.
Punjab Minister for Industries, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema was the chief guest. PSIC Managing Director, Muhammad Ali Gardezi and representative of Paapam signed the MoU at Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate (QIE).
On this occasion, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema said that Auto-Parts Support Center would be a landmark for auto industry sector and it would help meet the needs of skilled labour force in this sector. He said that Rs 100 million had been spent on the construction of center and installation of machines.
He said this project had been completed within stipulated period while designing as well as lab facilities had also been provided there. He said the formal inauguration ceremony of the center would be held in August.
