The fourth round of Pak-India talks on economic and commercial co-operation under composite dialogue will commence here on July 31. Pakistani delegation led by Commerce Secretary Syed Asif Ali Shah will arrive in the Indian capital on July 30 to attend the two-day talks.
An official of Pakistan High Commission on Thursday told reporters that these talks will be follow up and review the agenda already discussed in the previous talks held in March 2006 in Islamabad.
Among other items, the agenda will also include import of tea, opening of bank branches, transportation of goods, joint registration of Basmati rice, insurance, transit trade, co-operation on capital markets and matters relating to business visas. The official said new items are expected to be discussed which, include holding of trade exhibitions in each other''s country.
Indian wants expansion in Pakistan''s positive list. The official said both the countries have agreed on up-gradation of trade facilities on Wagah and Attari border. Shipping agreement has already been signed between the two countries.
