Police issued special security directives

CCPO Karachi, Azhar Ali Farooqi, has said that special security directives have been issued to Karachi Police in view of terrorist activities in certain parts of the country. The police have been asked to perform its functions with full capacity for establishment of law and order and security of the life and property of people.
The CCPO directed that all city entry and exit points be fully guarded and suspected vehicles, people and items should be fully checked. He asked the police officers in all the Towns to conduct snap checking under their supervision, beef up mobile and motorcycle patrolling besides having vigil at vantage places through plain cloth police. He emphasised the need for carrying along the community to ward off security apprehensions.
