After the suicide attacks in Swat, Hangu, Hub, DI Khan and Islamabad, security has been beefed up in Multan district and policemen in plain clothes have been deployed at all sensitive places in the city to avert any untoward incident or act of terrorism.
Regional Police Officer Multan Mirza Muhammad Ali said that police patrolling has also been strengthened and the police officials have been instructed to keep a close vigil on the movement of suspects across the district.
He said that since all public places could not be provided a security shield, people should remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. He further said that an additional force has been deployed at the district courts, High Court Multan Bench and police lines to foil any terrorist designs.
