Former Punjab University vice-chancellor and a former Pakistan Movement member Professor Dr Munir-ud-Din Chughtai died on Sunday. He was buried in the Cavalry Ground graveyard on Monday. Majid Nizami, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, S.M. Zafar, Sartaj Aziz.
A large number of workers of Pakistan Movement, acting VC Punjab University Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, Registrar Punjab University Professor Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan, university teachers, students and employees attended the funeral prayer. Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi grieved over the death of former VC Dr Munir-ud-Din Chughtai.
In a condolence message, the chief minister paid tribute to Dr Munir-ud-Din Chughtai for his services in education and research and creating youth awareness about the Pakistan Movement.
