District Coordination Officer Jhang Rizwanullah Baig has warned the education department against collection of illegal fee from students and asked the administrative staff to take steps to ensure provision of best environment and discipline in the institutions as desired by the Punjab government.
He issued these directions while presiding over a meeting of district review committee for Punjab Education Sector Reforms Programme (PESRP), held here at the district council hall Jhang.
The DCO directed the monitoring staff to check attendance of the teachers and non-teaching staff and avoid creating harassment in educational institutions and dishonouring the teachers. He asked the EDO (education) to indicate the required necessary maintenance of school buildings, cleanliness and other demands to improve the quality education, which was necessary to achieve the literacy rate in the district. He said satisfactory results of the government measures in education sector at district level should clearly be shown to bring visible improvement in process of imparting education to the new generation. The executive district officer (education), district monitoring officer, and other concerned staff attended the meeting.
