The Federal Government has informed the Supreme Court that the vacant post of the Chairman Federal Services Tribunal would be filled in a couple of days. A three-member full bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry had taken suo moto notice that the post of Chairman FST has been lying vacant since 15th April 2007 and thousands of government employees were awaiting justice.
Deputy Attorney General Nahid Mehboob Elahi appeared before the bench and submitted that the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights has assured that a new FST Chairman would be appointed in a couple of days.
