Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences (CIBES) established in 1993 is run by a group of committed philanthropists under the Commecs Educational Trust-a "not-for-profit" organisation, which is also certified for quality standards in internal governance, financial management and programme delivery by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP).
Keeping in view, its high benchmark of quality education, the institute has been conferred the degree awarding status ie it has been chartered to award degrees in the disciplines of Business Administration, Education and Computer Sciences and Information Technology.
By a notification (No: GS/5-20/2004(SO-P)/99) the Governor of Sindh, in his capacity as the Patron of the Institute, has notified the appointment of Omar H Karim as Chairman, Board of Governors of the CIBES with immediate effect. It is hoped that under his dynamic leadership the degree awarding institute will develop an innovative and continuously evolving system, which will take quality education to a further level of excellence.-PR
