The Etihad Airways has increased its Karachi to Abu Dhabi flights services to 11 weekly flights and the airline now offers daily flights from August 1, 2007. With this increase EY 222 will operate four times a week, on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, while EY 228 will operate daily.
Etihad Airways' Area Manager in Pakistan, Joost den Hartog said, "The additional flight from Karachi is an indication of how Pakistan market has become important for Etihad network in the past three years.
The growth of Etihad over the past years has been especially strong like from four weekly flights in February 2006 to 28 flights and three additional cities. This expansion is a result of putting our customers first and providing safe, swift and convenient travel alternatives."
This flight is a part of 'Etihad Summer Programme' in which Pakistan has gained five additional flights. The additional flights and changed flight times minimise connecting times to the major European and North American destinations.
Connections to and from major destinations such as Toronto, New York, London Heathrow, Manchester, Paris, Dublin and Munich are all approximately two hours.
Etihad Airways now flies 11 times per week from Karachi, daily from Lahore, seven times per week from Islamabad, and two times per week from Peshawar to Abu Dhabi, providing short and convenient onward connections to the airline's fast growing global network of 45 destinations.-PR
