Turkey and Pakistan enjoy brotherly relations deeply rooted in history. The Turkish and Pakistani peoples have been in close contact throughout the history and have mutually influenced each other socially and culturally.
Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination, Salim Saifullah Khan expressed these views while talking to ambassador of Turkey Mr Engin Soysal who called on him here Friday in his office.
The Minister said that the ties between the two countries are rooted in shared faith and values, and are characterised by commonality of interests. It is natural for the two to enhance their mutual cooperation and realise their full potential, particularly in the economic field.
Referring to the ties between the two countries, the ambassador said that Turkey attaches great importance to promote its relations with Pakistan, which is located at the epicentre of Asia as an intersection point of different cultures and crossroads of traditional commercial routes.
They emphasised to further strengthen the already existing strong bilateral relations in all fields. Referring to economic stability of Pakistan Salim Safiullah said that Pakistan has become an investor's friendly country due to the consistent policies of the present government. There is a huge scope for Turkey to invest in Pakistan, he added.
