Muhammad Hussain Mehnati and Muhammad Laiq Khan, MNAs of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) have condemned the ongoing load shedding in the city and termed it a failure of Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) and government.
In a statement issued here, they said that instead of all claims and announcements of the government for overcoming load shedding, a new series of power failure had hit the city, a serious blow to industrial and economic activities, with losses of million of rupees on daily basis.
They said that due to the load shedding, people especially children and ill are facing great hardships. They said that citizens of Karachi were paying more for electricity than other parts of the country, but government was doing nothing to resolve their problems.
They said the citizens especially the residents of New Karachi, Malir, Quaidabad, Orangi Town, North Karachi and other areas were facing this cruel load shedding due to apathy of rulers. They demanded to take immediate steps to overcome this power failure and to provide relief to the affected public.
