Dyes had slight edge on the higher side while the rest of the items fluctuated modestly while cereals and grams prices moved both wats on the commodity wholesale market during the week ended on August 4,2007.
SOME UNREPORTED ITEMS WERE: dyes from Taiwan (per kg) brown RX closed higher by Rs 5 to Rs 185, Acid dyes from China yellow 2G turned higher by Rs 5 to Rs 120, Orange II closed higher by Rs 5 to Rs 75 and A was quoted at Rs 165, dyes China sulphur 501 was quoted at Rs 32, Blue BRN rose by Rs 4 to Rs 92, Brown GDR edged higher by Rs 5 to Rs 54, Olive rose by Rs 5 to Rs 55, yellow GR closed higher by Rs 10 to Rs 60, Sulphur Blue Green rose by Rs 12 to Rs 82, sulphur Bordeaux 3B closed higher by Rs 15 to Rs 95, sulphur yellow Brown 5G quoted at Rs 54, and sulphur black 522 closed higher by Re 1 to Rs 32.
Elsewhere moong, masoor rose sharply. Moong Punjab was sharply lower by Rs 600 to Rs 2500, masoor Australia shed Rs 300 to Rs 4200, masoor dal rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5300, beetle chana I inferior type lost Rs 25 to Rs 2850 and better type gave in Rs 50 to Rs 3000.
On Monday Jodia Bazar supplied chemicals rose and fell such as NH Taiwan rose by Rs 5 to Rs 125. Oxalic acid China edged higher by Rs 5 to Rs 89, and citric acid China rose by Rs 2 to Rs 64. Petroleum Jelly sulphonic acid soft rose by 40 paisa to Rs 87, sulphonic acid hard (DD-SA) rose by Rs 2 to Rs 87. Sitara caustic soda flakes rose by Re 1 to Rs 40 and caustic China by Rs 2. Hydrosulphite China 88pc rose by Re 1.6 to Rs 61.60, Acetic acid Taiwan edged higher by Rs 7 to Rs 88 and same items from Korea ended higher by Rs 6 to Rs 86. Hydrogen peroxide 35pc Korea 5pc rose by Rs 2.20 to Rs 33.
Masoor dal rose by Rs 200 to Rs 5000, wheat old and new with Bardana rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1250 the other type was quoted at Rs 1265.Khandsari shed Rs 200 to Rs 3200 and the other type was quoted at Rs 3400.
On Tuesday gram prices were down sharply. Gram garda Punjab shed Rs 50 to Rs 2750 while the other was quoted at Rs 2875. Gram dal Punjab was down by Rs 200 to Rs 2900 and better type was quoted at Rs 3000. Beetle chana I shed Rs 100 to Rs 2950 and the other was quoted at Rs 3050.
Beetle 50x50 shed Rs 75 to Rs 2750 and better type was quoted at Rs 2875. Dal beetle retreated by Rs 200 to Rs 3550, while better type was quoted at Rs 3650. Wheat with Bardana stretched higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1260 while the other type was quoted at Rs 1275.
On Jodia Bazar raw rubber from Ceylon (Per Lb) RSSV pulled higher by Rs 4, to Rs 80, and pale crape TPC3 rose by Rs 10 to Rs 80. Latex Samnan lost Rs 30 t Rs 470, and Thai (G.T) retreated by Rs 30 to Rs 470.
On Wednesday rice prices showed rising trend on the whole sale commodity market such as Irri 9 Punjab closed higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2600 while the other was quoted at Rs 2700, Basmati No 360 rose by the same amount to Rs 4200.
ON THURSDAY FAIR AMOUNT OF CHANGES WERE SEEN IS PLASTIC MOULDINGS: HDPE film (per lb) Saudia 952 closed lower by 50 paisa to Rs 56, Mobil also had a gain of 50 paisa to Rs 56. HDPE injection sabic 200056 retreated by Re 1 to Rs 50. Mobil 016 edged down by Re 1 to Rs 50, and Iran's lost nearly 75 paisa to Rs 49. LLDPE w118 climbed higher by Re 1 to Rs 55, and Sabic 5000 26 was quoted at Rs 56. Polypropylene film Thai closed lower by 50 paisa to Rs 51.50, Kuwait edged down by 50 paisa to Rs 51, and India was down 50 paisa to Rs 51.
Polypropylene tape grade India closed down by 50 paisa to Rs 50, and Kuwait was down 50 paisa to Rs 50, polypropylene injection grade Saudia retreated by 50, paisa to Rs 50, India closed lower by 50 paisa to 50, and Kuwait lost same amount to Rs 5o.
Elsewhere yellow peas Canada inferior type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2800, while better type rose by Rs 125 to Rs 2950, yellow peas dal Canada rose by Rs 200to Rs 3100 while better type was quoted at Rs 3200. Wheat old with bardana rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1265 and better type was quoted at Rs 1280.
On Friday no change was observe in price levels. On Saturday masoor Canada was down by Rs 200 at Rs 3900, yellow peas Canada was sharply lower by Rs 350 at Rs 2750=2875,sugar shed Rs 50 to Rs 2750-2850.
