President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Majyd Aziz has been appointed honorary citizen of the City of Houston by Bill White, Mayor of Houston in appreciation of his valuable contribution and unselfish public service for the benefit and welfare of humanity.
He has also been selected as the goodwill ambassador of Houston with full powers and authority to inform others of the genuine hospitality and friendly atmosphere that prevail in Houston and of the many advantages and unlimited opportunities that Houston has to offer.
Will Wynn, Mayor of Austin, Texas and the Austin City Council also conferred the title of honorary citizen on Majyd Aziz. The Mayor of Houston in another proclamation declared August 2 as KCCI trade delegation day in Houston, Texas. Further congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee, who is also the Co-Chairperson of the Pakistan caucus in congress, presented a certificate of congressional recognition on Majyd Aziz. Similarly, congressman Nick Lampson who also represents Texas, in his certificate of congressional recognition proclaimed that KCCI continues to advocate for small business traders and appreciated his efforts to organise the first ever All Karachi small traders convention.
The Mayor of Sugarland, David Wallace recognised KCCI as a strong business organisation focusing on promoting Pakistan as a profitable place to invest and encouraging commerce between USA and Pakistan. The KCCI delegation is returning on August 8 after a successful visit to USA. During its stay the delegation visited Washington, New York and Houston.-PR
