Relatives of former khateeb Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid have engaged Shaukat Aziz Siddiqi as new lawyer for pleading the cases filed against Abdul Aziz and his family members.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Amir Siddiq, a cousin, and three sisters of Abdul Aziz said that the family of Ghazi brothers has decided to engaged Advocate Shaukat Aziz Siddiqi in place of Hashmat Habib, who was pleading the cases filed against Abdul Aziz, his wife and his two daughters. However, they did not give reason for the change of the lawyer, saying that it was necessary under the present situation. Amir said that henceforth Advocate Hashmat Habib has nothing to do with the legal and media affairs of the family.
