Leader of the House in the Senate, Wasim Sajjad has said that Pakistan and Britain share identical views on different issues of international significance and expressed satisfaction over the fact that bilateral relations between the two have strengthened over the years.
He stated this while talking to Robert Brinkley, CMG, British High Commissioner in Pakistan, who called on him at the Parliament House. Wasim Sajjad said that Pakistan is interested to improve bilateral ties with all, particularly with UK and suggested enhancing co-operation in trade, investment and the education sectors.
Wasim emphasised the need for issuance of more visas to Pakistani students with a view to enable them to study in educational institutions of UK. He said that there is tremendous scope for further improving the historic ties. He lauded the role played by Pakistani community living in UK.
Robert Brinkley, CMG, British High Commissioner to Pakistan agreed with the views of the Leaders of the House for expansion of bilateral ties in different fields particularly the education sector and hoped that greater focus will be laid on improving ties in the economic, educational and other dimensions.
