The Chairman, Pakistan Pharmaceutical Association (PPMA), Punjab Affairs, Muhammad Asad, on Friday contradicted a news published in a section of press about reducing the prices of life saving medicines by the Association.
Asad clarifies, "I had announced reduction in prices of around 37 drug items being manufactured only by my company named Global Pharmaceuticals, not any other manufacturer. So the news regarding reduction in drugs prices from 30 to 40 per cent on behalf of the PPMA is baseless." He said the PPMA comprises more than 400 companies and decision like reduction in prices of medicine are taken with mutual consultation and consensus.
