Finn Mikko Ilonen claimed his second European Tour title of the season on Sunday with a two-stroke win in the Scandinavian Masters. A roller-coaster finish by Ilonen took him to a two-under 68 for a six-under-par 274 aggregate.
He finished two shots ahead of Germany's Martin Kaymer, Peter Hedblom of Sweden, Britain's Nick Dougherty and Frenchmen Christian Cevaer and Jean-Baptiste Gonnet.
Kaymer led by two strokes with three holes to play but bogeyed the par-three 16th and double-bogeyed the short 18th. Ilonen's final three holes were also spectacular but brought contrasting results he added to his Indonesian Open maiden title early in the season. He found the water hazard on the 16th to double-bogey but then put pressure on Kaymer, who was watching from the tee, by holing from just over five feet to birdie the last.
The young German then sprayed his tee shot wide of the green, chipped well short and took three more shots to get down.
