A minister thought to be the establishment most trusted ally has said a power sharing deal between President Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan Peoples Party is almost finalised. "Negotiations are underway on three crunch points. It's the matter of days now," Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told journalists here on Wednesday.
The statement came a day after former exiled premier Benazir Bhutto asked Musharraf to be clear by end this month on whether he is interested in any accord with her.
"I believe things will get some shape in next two weeks," said Rashid who reportedly enjoys being among few confidants of military ruler. Bhutto, who is the head of PPP and ruled Pakistan twice in 1988-90 and 1993-96, wants Musharraf to let her return home, become prime minister third time and withdraw corruption charges she faces.
