The NWFP Revenue Department has revised stamp duty on as many as 65 legal documents with effect from July 1st, 2007, disclosed official sources of the department. Talking to APP on Wednesday, the sources informed that after revision of the stamp duty on various documents, the list of the new rates has been determined and issued.
According to the revised rates, stamp duty on Affidavit has been enhanced to Rs 30, Rs 100 transfer of allotment order for residential plot and Rs 200 for commercial plot. Similarly, Rs 150 stamp duty has been fixed for application made on plain paper and Rs 1500 stamp duty would be paid on form X and XII prescribed under the Arms Rules.
