Pakistan and China have constituted a joint working group for formulating action plan and specifying modalities to enhance co-operation in vocational training in Pakistan.
This was stated by Minister of State for Labour & Manpower, Ghulam Sarwar Khan after returning from his visits to China and Brunei. He said that China would set up pilot projects in all four provinces of Pakistan and provide assistance in replacing equipment of vocational institutes.
He said Brunei would import manpower from Pakistan in education health, and petrochemical sectors. Sarwar Khan said about 155 thousand people have been sent abroad by July this year for employment. He hoped the number would reach two hundred and fifty thousand by end of this year.
